Rose shuffled through the odds and ends inside an old cardboard box she had pulled from her hideaway closet. The closet was crammed too full to be a hideaway place anymore, so spring cleaning time, she decided. She hummed in tune to the Rascal Flatts playing from her computer. This box was labeled "My Childhood" so with an air of intrigue she decided to snoop through.
On the very top were copies of her prom pictures and senior portraits. She flipped briefly through those, grinning at how ridiculously long she used to wear her hair. "I need to find a good place for those," she murmured and set them aside in the pile she meant to keep.

It was Christmas Eve, and Rose was adding the last minute decoration to her apartment. Her tree had been up and decorated with lights and tinsel and ornaments for the past month, but she had recently bought a new, unique ornament to add.
She hummed along while Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer played on her television set. She smiled when the egg timer in the kitchen went off, and she eagerly passed silver tinsel and red ribbons on her way to the oven.
"M, these cookies smell so good," she murmured and sniffed at the aroma of chocolate chip cookies. She quickly slipped them out of the oven and settled the pan on top of the stove to cool.

"We're here," a middle-aged woman said, her voice drawling out as if she could care less about the young girl sitting in the passenger seat of the old, brown Chevrolet, "get your things out of the car. I'll go tell them you're here."
"Yes, ma'am," the teenage girl murmured. She slid out of the car and shut her door quietly. Her eyes flicked up for long enough to see her mother, Miranda, walk up to the front door of a quaint farm house set amongst white fences and huge pastures, then she downcast her eyes again and trudged to the rear of the car with her shoulders hunched against the end of winter chill.

The metal glistened its malicious intent under the kitchen light, dangling from Jess's fingers to threaten the woman before her. She smirked and cocked the gun, the crazy glint in her eye making it clear she thought she was doing what she needed to do.
Rose held her breath. She stepped back and held out her hands in surrender. "Jess, think about this You don't really want to shoot me, do you? Kyle would hate you when he found out you shot me."
"Who says he's going to find out?" Jess cackled, "I plan on killing you, not just shooting you, but even if I manage to just kill that little brat inside you, it'll be just as good. I'll leave y

Ace frowned and pushed himself up from the couch. It was their day off, for once, but he had yet to see her leave her office, or rather the basement. She only ever spent much time down there when she was working.
Shes been in there for hours though, he grumbled and shuffled down the hall in his brown and white lounge pants and too big brown t-shirt. I swear, if shes working down in that basement, Im going to pinch the tar out of her arm.
He knocked on the door, waited a few seconds, then opened the door and stormed down the steps. Scribe, you have ten seconds to put away w

I hadn't thought much about our neighbors. They looked pretty average, unassuming. Quiet. I'd never liked quiet.
They lived across the street in a mangled shab of a decaying house. They did well with repairs, it's actually pretty decent now.
Two boys, one girl, one mom, one dad, and someone I think is related to the dad, an aunt or something.
Abigail was my age, well at one point, but she still appears my age. Micheal and Lawrence are both two years younger, they're twins, well they WERE yougner once, now they're not. I'm sorry, I'm making no sense.
They're not normal. Not anymore, they were a long time ago. They were all human. I never s

The chair Ace sat on was pulled forward and unstabilised enough to through him backwards, smacking his head agains thte bookshelf behind him as he fell and Scribe looked up from her book with a red mark on her cheek.
"Go get us some chinese if you're so antsy." Scribe said as her eyes flitted back to the book and Ace blew up with his lips so that his bangs fluttered and he got up.
"Chicken Lo Mein and egg rolls. Be back soon." Ace said as he left the library. Scribe smirked and shook her head, tucking a stray strand of hair back behind her ear before scribbling some more notes
Yeah, it's winter time and I hate it! I haven't been able to spend any time with my Midnight in the past few months, and its been driving me crazy. If the rain would at least let off and it would be sunny when I'm off I could deal with the cold, but all this slush is ridiculous...
Other than that, not much else is going on. Just a quick update on my life, for whoever might be curious, so... yeah.

Hey!
Sorry for such a delay in an update... Things have been even crazier this semester, and I trult didn't think it possible, but there it is!
While I was absent from deviantart, I took a spill from Midnight when my saddle slipped, and so I went to the hospital and stayed from Saturday afternoon to Sunday night...
The diagnosis?
When I fell, my head smacked against the pavement, and I had a big hole in the back of my head that needed 6 staples. I had a small skull fracture behind my left ear, and a fractured bone in my cheek from where Midnight's hoof accidently came up and clipped my face when he slipped.
But I'm fine now, and the doct

So, this Tuesday Midnight will be moved to my house....
FINALLY!
One main reason I've been so busy is because Midnight is now officially mine! I've paid for him, bought his saddle and the rest of his tack, and have been trying to clear off the 1/4th acre of land that I got... There was lots of briars on it. Luckily, my dad and brother helped out a lot.
My dad knows a guy that sold us some panels and a hay ring, all for $500... so yeah... VERY good deal. I now have a good-sized arena! So yay!! The fence is on its way up... slowly... but surely... lol, just gotta spend more mon
Haha I am now... where are you? Sorry I couldn't get on earlier, I had to hurry, scan that pic and post it, then go to my aunt's house to work with their miniature horse I'm breaking for em... lol. XD But maybe you'll get on later...
